Games Island currently has warehouses, offices and a shop on over 5000m². With over 200,000 shipments per year and €35M in sales, Games Island has recorded strong growth in recent years and is currently a regional employer for over 70 employees.

Games Island was founded in 2008 by Marco Feldrapp and Hannes Scholz when they took over a toy store in Hof, including a trainee. With an online shop that primarily sold Magic: The Gathering products, Games Island quickly gained a foothold in the Magic sector. As sales increased, the original store became increasingly overcrowded, and soon there was so little space left that the store had to temporarily close for a few months. This was followed by an expansion into an additional office and a warehouse, and more rooms are being rented every year.

Over time, a department for the purchasing and re-sale of single cards was added, and after 5 years there were already 7 employees working at Games Island. We attended the enourmous gaming fair in Essen every year, constantly expanding our customer base and range of products. We have been a WPN premium store since 2021 and are one of the few retail shops in Germany to purchase our goods directly from Wizards of the Coast. In collaboration with Ultimate Guard, a range of high-quality merchandise was created as well: we carry Games Island trading card sleeves, deck boxes, play mats, and even Sidewinder boxes with a Games Island design!

In 2020 the store moved to new premises. In our shop on Hans-Böckler-Straße we now have enough space to hold large events for around 60 tournament participants.

Games Island Local Gamestore & Gaming Events

Since Games Island is based in Hof/Saale, the shop is also located here with a large range of trading card games, tabletop games, board games and all sorts of accessories.

Our goal is to create a place where the local gaming community can meet up and have fun together. There are regular events and tournaments for many gaming systems. If you ever need help or are looking for something specific, our experienced staff will be happy to help.

In 2023, Games Island brought the tabletop strategy game Warhammer and its two popular game systems, Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40000, to the Freiheitshalle Hof: 348 tabletop fans joined the Raccoon Rumble tournament to fight for a ticket to the Warhammer World Championship in the USA. The 400 tickets for the follow-up tournament, which will take place in November 2024, are already sold out.

Online shop, shipping & warehouse

For everyone who is located further away or abroad, we ship conveniently to your home via DHL and DPD. In addition to brand new goods from our Games Island online shop (https://games-island.eu/), you can also order second-hand products via Tabletop-Verkauf.

Given the variety of products we offer, adequate storage space is essential. Our warehouse employees ensure that your orders are safely packaged and sent to you quickly.

Second-Hand Tabletop Products

Since 2021 we began purchasing your tabletop models via Tabletop-Ankauf, and offering already assembled and painted miniatures for sale via Tabletop-Verkauf.

Our team of miniature inspectors, product photographers, and packers ensure that you receive money or a voucher for your minis quickly and easily. Our team sends out offers for your miniatures, checks and photographs the submitted models, and puts them in the online shop ready for delivery. Here you can choose from over 9,000 second-hand items and purchase assembled and painted miniatures, army parts, terrain, and accessories.

Trading Card Singles

Games Island is one of the largest Cardmarket sellers in Europe. We offer a wide range of used Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
Our employees in the trading card warehouse check and pack the cards you order - roughly 200 orders per day! Are you looking for something special? We have a selection of highly valuable cards in stock that are waiting for you with high-resolution scans.

A very special collection is only available at Games Island: the world's only Alpha Set graded in ascending order! Included are all 295 cards including the iconic Power9 - Black Lotus, Mox Emerald, Mox Ruby, Mox Sapphire, Mox Jet, Mox Pearl, Timetwister and Time Walk.
